Bump Old Thread or Create a Duplicate Thread Poll
This is truly as simple as the title sounds. There's a lot of folks on this board. There's a LOT of duplicate threads. There's a lot of threads that get necroed.
It seems that no matter what a poster chooses to do sometimes the forum police rain down either:
"SEARCH"
or
"DUDE THIS THREADS 8 YEARS OLD"
So let's take a minute as a group and decide, once and for all, what the consensus is. With that info we can then flame only one of the above groups. lol
Get out and vote.

The third option tonight is drink some beer and read the responses and then post snarky comments about the responses

This poll has been done so many times! j/k
Bump old thread keeps the information in one place, allows newer members to add to the thread, keeps the stuff from people that have moved on, and for those that haven't moved on, they can share their experience and add updates, and discuss how well whatever is being discussed worked out for them. Can't go wrong.

I never object to necroing a thread, unless it's a noob with 6 posts answering a specific question posed in 2012. Then the dead should rest undisturbed. The guy who asked the question presumably has no further use for that wisdom.

I like it when the consolidation of a topic is in a single thread, regardless that it spans several years. Some of those topic threads are gold mines of information.

Neither bothers me, although new members often don’t have a choice but to bump old threads.

Bump an old thread reduces duplication of questions that have been dealt with.

Bump an old thread. I love it when people don't look at the date of the original thread. Like a college kid blind dating a 50 year old.

Bookmarked your thread to ask if you’ve done a 4wd swap on your truck and how to do it in 5 years.
