Regearing With 35s
Hello just installed rough country lift and already had 1.5 in body lift installed. With a little trimming the 35's fit great, but I have one question, how do I regear my 4runner, I don't know where to begin. And is there a way to regear it so that my 4rnr is faster than before when I had 31's?

You pay a shop about $2500 parts and labor to remove your diffs, replace the gears, and reinstall them. Absolutely not something you should attempt on your own.

Faster? I hope you mean faster acceleration not top speed. Yes, re gearing to the proper ratio will make it less piggish and help with passing on the highway but nothing will make it fast besides a V8 swap.

Anyone with the right mindset can learn how to do it and get the right tools. It's not as complicated as what people put it out to be. Just tedious and takes a lot of patience.

Supercharger would give it a nice kick in the shorts with fewer headaches

Don't know about fewer headaches on a truck this old but yeah it would be awesome for a little while. I'd pull and rebuild the engine top to bottom before throwing a supercharger on it though.

I don't necessarily think that's sound advice.
While I agree, that if he has to ask the question and is clueless about where to start then the job is likely going to be over his head.. However, anyone can learn to do a job with either help from others or research. In fact, I typically suggest people to do their own work on their vehicles. It's not only a learning experience but there's a sense of achievement when doing things yourself (or with a friend).
Do I think regearing differentials is entry self mechanic job? Definitely not. But, I wouldn't be so quick to omit it and say that it is not something someone should attempt.
@ Gavinstuckey
The job is a very tedious one. If you have little to no skills in it then it might be something you source help on or request a business to do it for you. It requires meticulous settings and specific tools to do the job and if not done right, can result in catastrophic failure.
My suggestion is to ask someone you know that is more mechanically inclined if they can help you with the job. If not, then you can source out some prices for a shop to do the job. Another option, listed above, is to go to East Coast Gear Supply and shop for pre-assembled differentials that are a plug-n-play job once you get them (but still require some mechanical experience).

The DIY recommendation is never bad, but it depends on circumstances. If this vehicle is your daily, then pay a professional. Not fun dealing with a fried diff in a year because you were still learning.

My recommendation is East Coast Gear Supply to setup up the front clamshell and rear third for you. Have it shipped to your local preferred mechanic who has experience with diffs. Let them install both. Alternatively haved ECGS ship to you and then you install the setup **if** you have the tools and space and some mechanical aptitude. Its a day job to install both.
I suggest you have ARB lockers installed at the same time by ECGS. You can run the air lines and install the compressor. Once the diffs are in you connect the air lines yourself.
For 35's I would recommend 4.88's. I had 35's with 4.56's and found the gearing not to my liking. (Now with 37's its pretty horrid. But doesn't matter because I'm going to SAS with 40's and 5.29's )
