Ultimate? Awesome!! I am still very happy with my previous Spiker (6"?) version, but thank you for opening up this new aftermarket niche:

Extreme Hood-Lift Pull-Down Straps

I may have to start a side business for those who can no longer reach their open hoods LOL

The other day I opened hood of another 3rd gen. After pushing the latch I found myself genuinely surprised that the hood did not lift up on its own. I also couldn't figure out what to do with the prop rod for a solid minute.

Thanks, Leon, for spoiling us so badly!

Yes, that is definitely a "thing". Once you get used to hood struts, it seems so caveman to have to lift the hood and use the prop rod to hold it up. Reminds me of those primitive animal traps .

Been waiting on this!!!

Can you let me know if there's any obstruction or relocation needed on my hood to install these?

I believe the answer is no but just want to double check before I buy.

You're good to go, nothing will be in the way. The only thing you'll need to relocate slightly is where the windshield washer tube attaches to the body just before looping up to the hood (this is true for all 3rd Gen installations). There are some suggestions in the instructions on how to handle that, it's nothing complicated. Here's one approach that would work well with your door buzzer bracket on the passenger side:

Thank you, and welcome to the T4R community. You'll definitely appreciate the high lift hood struts as you start tinkering under the hood of your new truck, so smart move on doing this mod first .
