Regearing With 35s

ALright, you guys really helped me to under stand how to regear and the pain, so im planning on getting 5.29 gears and starting off just on the back, but if I were to buy just the ring and pinion gear, is that all I have to buy and just take it to get it done? Or is there anything else I have to buy like shims and such.

I would suspect most competent gear shops would have the appropriate shims and such. However, Id just call them to verify.

Also, good choice on the 5.29s .

you'll want ring and pinion, and a bearing/set up kit.

I strongly recommend coreswest. they offer a free bearing/set up kit with the purchase of a Yukon gear set. it ends up being quite a savings.

If you do the back and not the front don't engage 4wd with the mismatched gears
