Bearing or axle, what is this noise?

Hey everyone,

Video Link (links to my Flickr) : Bearing or Axle? by John Smith, on Flickr

What is this noise? Spinning the wheel with it jacked and it has this dry metal rubbing sound. Running the car at 30-40mph with the windows down I can't hear any roaring noises like a bearing usually gives off, but I also have a lot of noise from my tires right now which could be drowning it out. I was thinking maybe the axle, but there's no audible clicking while turning and upon visual inspection the boot is sealed and not leaking.

i've tried grabbing the wheel and pulling on it /wiggling it and it doesn't have any substantial play in it.

Help please! (and please ignore the missing wheel stud. That's been fixed).

Cheers.

Sounds like your brake dust shield is rubbing on the rotor. Take a look on the backside of the wheel. If that's what it is, grab it with your hand and bend it away from the rotor. Easy Fix.
