Thanks. This is what it looks like from behind. I'm down on the ground taking this pic. When standing up they are not noticeable. I modified my exhaust after I lifted so they are not close to my tail pipe. I can get another pic later if you need

This is from the side (obviously, ha) and again I am close to ground when I took this pic.

First I cut out the spare tire cross member completely.
Then, I used some scrap 3" x 1/8" (I don't remember the length, I can measure if needed) flat steel and welded it to the truck as pictured. Then I cut and welded 2 pcs as sketched (in last pic). I welded them to the first piece and drilled holes and bolted the end closest to the bumper into factory tapped holes. Then I drilled and bolted the rotopax 'brackets' to them.

I hope that makes sense. If you need more pics, (now that I know how to upload them) or more info, let me know

Good luck

Durwin

Would it be to much to ask for a photo with them of and photo of the mount. Looks good. Really good. And you say you do some serious trails and haven’t had any issue ?

Sorry for delay. Not the best of pics. I hope these help. If you have more questions or need me to snap a couple more pics let me know.

Looks like I need to take care of some rust, while I have them off....

Good luck

That’s great work. And you say you wheel some hard stuff and no issues ? You could of tucked it little better if you mounted your mount not on the bottom of that body part. Picking up what I am saying ? I really like it. Again. Great job.

I think I know what you're saying, and if I was to do it again, I'd probably try to tuck them up a little tighter, but that being said, I've never once touched them on anything.

Seems like the reason you didn’t tuck it up higher was because it doesn’t really fit in the space between the two body/sheet metal cross members. Probably wouldn’t want to cut into that much unless you reinforce it after.. I’m going to take some measurements..

That’s why I was saying if he would of did that side just like the opposite side. It would tuck the cans up more. You know what I’m saying ? Basically U shaped to take the contour of the body. No need to cut anything.

Ah I see what your saying lay it flat instead of angled. Yea I think your right, that would work better.

Wondering about the rear tire cross member being removed. Wonder how structurally it is.

I’d say it’s definitely structural, if I were to do this I would weld a bar across either before or after the rotopax. Especially since I have a rear bumper w/ tire swingout.
