Correct, it's just the main portion of the FSM. The wiring diagrams would be in supplemental volumes. You can use the '02 FSM for wiring diagrams, just be aware that there will be some differences.
Or use these, which are for a '98 - Dropbox - 1998 4Runner Electrical Wiring Diagram EWD319U - Simplify your life

You're very welcome, but I just want to make it clear that I did not create these documents - I just happen to have them bookmarked!
And if you ever do find a '99 FSM online, let me know - half my truck is sort of a '99 (check my signature ), so I am always trying to make do between the '98 and '02 FSMs.

I have the full '99 FSM and EWD on paper. If you are ever really stuck, send me a PM. If you can, get the '00 EWD that is out there. It is almost perfect, much better than '98.

Same here. My '99 specific stuff is all hard copy... Much easier to make notes on - but much harder to search while at work.

It's interesting, I bought a brand new '97 FSM when I bought my truck, but I find that I hardly use it. It's too fat and unwieldy, and I obviously can't search it for specific words like I can an electronic copy. Plus I'm OCD and I don't want to get the FSM greasy .
I find myself mostly browsing the electronic version, then printing the relevant pages for the actual job (I'm old school and still prefer paper over a computer screen ).

Well I ended up picking up the FSM's from a guy local yesterday.
I personally prefer having the paper copy in front of me.
Plus I couldn't find a complete downloadable version. All the links I went to wouldn't download the complete manual. Might be my phone I don't know.
Guy had a 98 listed on Craigslist and was including the manuals for an additional $100.
It's more than I cared to spend but glad I have it.

I also like to have the paper book in front of me. I got a set for 99$ off eBay.. I think that’s about the going price.

I'll just leave this here. I have a dropbox file that has a bunch of FSM's including some supplementals for wiring and transmissions and such. Just shoot me a PM if you want access and I will give it to you. You can download anything I have.
Sam
