Elocker parts kit

I was wondering if anybody had an angle on seals and or screws for rebuilding the elocker on my 96? I've searched and come across some ebay listings and a wits end reference....all dead ends.

D'arce

Dealer was useless.

Yep, they were available from Wits-end, but discontinued now. :/ I should have bought a kit for mine too.

In any case, here is a video how to rebuild/fix the e-locker actuator:

If you end up coming across a rebuild kit, post it here please.

I may have a lead on the rebuild kit.
Wits End emailed me that a forum vendor over at IH8mud offers the kit now.

Vendors name is Landtank

My account is pending mod approval, I'll update when I get in touch with him.

Landtank has my kit on the way.

I got my actuator opened up and beside the grease being hard from age, there is no damage. Pretty stoked about that so after a good cleaning I'm about ready to go back together.

I've been looking into the Body Grease W and I'm not keen to spend $50+ dollars on it unless I absolutely have to. Has anybody come up with an auto parts store equivalent?

Make sure you check the position of the 4 magnets in the top cap of the motor. Mine were slightly out of place causing the motor to not spin. There’s a good write up on rebuilding that explains how they should be set and glued. Just make sure you note their positions and don’t get them out of order otherwise you’ll be pending time having to figure out polarity. Also be careful not to loose the little ball bearing!

Anyone know if there are still elocker seal kits out there? I just bought an e locker that had 360k on it so I figure it's probably good to refresh the seals.

How does that 3rd member feel when your spinning it? You seeing any access play in the ring and pinion gear? The reason I ask is if it'd heavily warn it may need more more the elocker seal kits. I am hoping is smooth and feels great.

There's very little backlash and it feels quite smooth. When I bought it I drained the oil too and it looked very good and nothing on the magnet.

That's great news. Good deal. Randybodady swapped 4:30 into his 3rd gen but I don't think he hooked up his locker in. I just helped him pull the axles out of the pick an pull.
