Glad you found the real problem! Are you giving the 4runner time to go into sleep mode before performing the test?

No excessive heat and still appears to be charging correctly.
This time when i hooked up the multimeter im getting a draw, but its a lot less than what i was expecting. With everything off, doors closed, etc, etc, i was getting .071A. When i pull the ECU-B it drop down to .015A. Additionally, i lose another .01A when i pull the DOME fuse (15A fuse under the hood. Is this the interior dome lights? i would have expected this fuse to be in the cab). I cant track down where the remaining .005A is going.
A few other observations:
When the battery circut is broken and reconnected the draw jumps from .33A to .45A then down to .1A and eventually lands on .071A. Does that sound about right? It seemed like rather excessive draw for an initializing stage.
Im starting to think that my issue is more related to this headlight problem. What parts should i test next? Headlight relay/signal stalk?

It is not truly abnormal, although you will read many people tell you over 25 milliamps is a problem, or some will say over 50 is a problem. There is no absolute number that is the delineation between good and bad. Yours is at 71 milliamps which is not great, but won't kill your battery overnight. If you need to store your vehicle for long periods, this might become an issue. Personally I use 100 milliamps as the point where I become concerned. I have never checked either of my 3rd gens, so I don't know what is common for them.

Mine sits at the mid forties. I'm sure if I had an alarm it would be more. Fancy audio systems also probably draw more than my simple Alpine HU. Oh West Coast sage, I'm sure you know how much those draw. Please enlighten us.

Sorry El Durko(Eastern Wizard), I use my Tablet, no fancy head units for me! And I'm partial to Pioneer™ anyway. When I had one in my LC it would sit for weeks without killing the battery, never checked the draw on that on either.

Sorry, I meant to ask about the alarms. Then I edited my post and messed up my question. Didn't you sell those things?

No, wrong sage! I hate alarms, but mostly I hate the alarm installers who mess up otherwise good cars! Of course nothing like that car in the parking lot with the alarm wailing and NO ONE cares.
