Front Wheels Studs Too Short For Wheel Spacers

I purchased 1.25 inch wheel spacers for my 2001 and it appears that the lugs do not have enough stud to grab onto. I am wondering if I got the wrong spacers, but I am also wondering if it is possible that for some reason the studs are too short. Does anybody have any experience with the studs being too short for the front?

No, I am not driving with them on as shown in the picture.
