i just installed my OEM rack on sunday and only ran into problems disconnecting the hard lines. at first i had problems because i dont have a flex head flare nut wrench for the lines so i had to get creative to get a good connection, i disconnected the sway bar and rolled it up out of the way and was able to get more space coming from the driver's wheel well.

once i got the new rack in, i noticed i had tons of space coming in from the front to reconnect the lines. easy as pie from there.

Your rack is blown, buy an OEM one, though myself and a few others have had good luck with Detroit Axle. DO NOT USE CARDONE! I do this for a living and working for free warrantying crappy Cardone steering racks sucks!

One of my steering racks leaked in the same spot. I had another steering rack laying around that had a leaky ram, but the input side was fine. I was able to swap the good input on to my old rack. Took a bit of work, but saved me a bunch of money. I didn't have much luck with aftermarket racks, don't think I got much more than a year out of them (not sure the brand).

Currently I'm sitting on a used OEM rack I grabbed from pick-n-pull. It's a gamble on how long it will last, but for $40 I can fold a few hands before I'm out the $800 for a new OEM (Canada pricing sucks).
