Driver side fog light wont stay on, irritating.

hey guys, need some help figuring out what the hell is up with my driver side fog light. the 6+ years ive owned my truck its never stayed on, and as a matter of fact, it is loose and basically dangling. If I put my hand up the front bumper and lift the light housing, it stays on, but there is nothing I see up there that is meant to mount and secure the fog light housing. any thoughts? am i not looking hard enough? i attached pics of it ON but soon as i move the 4runner or hit a bump, the fog light housing falls from its place and the light turns off. super annoying. Is there a way to secure it, if the original way is not available to?

thanks in advance, hoping someone whos had similar issues can reply!

The power for the fog light is provided by the single wire in the from the connector to the housing. The circuit is completed by the actual mounting of the assembly to the framework. In other words, the mounting hardware grounds the circuit.

Does your light assembly look like this?

The mounting is pretty straight forward. Apparently you have hardware missing. Use the passenger side as your guide. It is essentially the same, just a mirror image.

This makes sense. Thank you. Given it turns on when it touches the frame, it does turn on so this makes sense thanks again I'll do that and go from there
