98 2WD, 2.7L, 5 speed, 109k miles $7k anygood?

seems like a good price. Miles are kinda high. And 2.7L 150 HP doesn't seem like much power though the MPG is good. Opinions on 2WD? I don't off but plan on going on surf trips to south america. And is the 5 speed too troublesome in San Diego traffic?

That sounds like a cool truck to me. It is a great 4cyl engine and with the stick and 2wd you should get great mileage for an suv. I would definetly try to get the price down a little though.

I've got a 4WD 2.7/5 spd. I love mine. I picked up mine for $5000 with a burnt valve. The trick with these engines as I'm sure many here can attest to is regular(15K-20K?) valve adjustments are key to these engines. It's what took mine out for sure. Mine has just shy of 300K I'm sure (TMU)
I can't speak for 2WD.

LOL. Some of these tread resurrections are hilarious but I am still baffled as to how it happens. When I log in to T4R.org everything is in chronological order of newest comments. Right? There must be a logical explanation.

Not sure how it happens. I don't even look at the date of the thread. If it's bold I read it. Sorry for resurrecting an old thread

Folks are often just trying to contribute and get 15 posts so they can make their own threads. At the bottom it sometimes 'suggests' threads but the forum isn't smart enough to pick threads that are recent, just seems to put random ones on there.

Reviving a 20 year old post lol, older than my roommate. Person probably bought it, used it, and junked it by now.

Okay that makes sense. I see the box at the bottom of the page now that says "Similar Threads". I've never scrolled down and paid any attention to that box.

Jeez, I didn't realize my mistake would get some people so up in arms. What happened was I did a search for 3RZ because that's what's in my runner and because I'm old and I didn't see the original posting date. I didn't resurrect the thread to get my 15 posts. Some people just make mistakes, sorry.

Don’t worry about it bud, some people act like they are the thread police and that doing this personally affects them like they own the forum. Not saying anyone who’s commented here acted like that and I agree that a 20 year old thread being brought back is quite funny but at the end of the day we are all here to help each other 98 2WD, 2.7L, 5 speed, 109k miles k anygood?

The funniest part is that exact truck described 20 years ago will still probably fetch that 7k asking price today 98 2WD, 2.7L, 5 speed, 109k miles k anygood?98 2WD, 2.7L, 5 speed, 109k miles k anygood?

All good man glad you are here and we are happy to help with anything whether old or new. I think we were more amused by it more than anything else, fun to see these old threads too.
