At a loss? Turn signal

So, my driver side rear blinker is malfunctioning. Breaking it down barney style.
- So left turn signal activated the tail light will blink rapidly and the reverse light with it. The liscense light blinks and the right side tail light with it all to a different tempo.
- with this the rear window struggles to go down and subsequently back up.
- left front no issues, right front and rear no issues.
-hazards do the same flickering.

What I've done:
- Replaced fuses and relay
- ran all wiring from a-pillar back, checking for grounds.
- replaced taillights all together
- tried the system minus the trailer hitch wires

Outcomes:
- Every time I redo grounds or pull wiring/ replace tail lights. BOOM works...for like a day then back to the same old sh*t. I have a feeling there is a ground or short somewhere but I cant seem to find it.

At this point I've come to my wits end. I am trying not to drop boku bucks on hiring an electrician. Hopefully yall can help.

PS: I do all my own work and have a basic working knowledge when electronics are involved. Id rather rebuild an engine over rewire though.

When a similar thing happened to my 4Runner, it turned out to be the flex PCB on the back of the gauge cluster... that may not be your issue since you seem to be able to 'change' what's going on when you mess with the tail light area of the wiring, but it is something to think about.

Besides the tail light area, that is the only other place where the wiring interacts between those systems. Do your shift indicator lights on the cluster also light up oddly with the turn signal ('99+ auto cluster)?

Took a look

So today I took the instrument cluster out because im going white faces with amber led. while cleaning up the area and installing the new stuff I noticed that the PCB was bubbling in one area. Maybe?

I did notice that the turn signal and everything else works normal now when the headlights arent on, however, when they are on we go back to the same old song and dance.
