So, after my '02 SR5 was rear-ended and it was determined that it wasn't financially feasible to keep it (ask me about RI salvage rebuilt laws sometime), I was bummed, to put it mildly. I had some great memories and a bit of work put into that truck, and looking back, it's been one of two vehicles I've owned that I really grew attached to.

However, they say every cloud has a silver lining, and I'm hoping that's the case here. Meet my new Thundercloud Sport Edition, 2Yertle:
With dog for scale, haha:
Just turned 200K and is in nearly all ways in better shape than the previous 4Runner (knock on wood). Haven't really done much to it yet aside from installing a new head unit and new speakers in the front. Currently wrestling with the speakers in the back as I got some 5.25" replacements that are unfortunately too deep with the adapters I have, and the rear window hits instead of going all the way down. Back to the drawing board. (And if anyone knows any decent plug and play speaker adapters for 3rd gen rear doors that work for a 5.25" speaker and allow decent clearance, feel free to let me know. I probably need to make something work with what I have, but unfortunately, I'm not the handiest dude in the world. I have flat adapters that are specifically made for the 3rd gen and are in the same shape as the stock plastic panels with a bigger cutout, but they aren't very thick and the speaker mounts flush, so the window doesn't clear. I also have some additional universal speaker adapters that offer more clearance, but they leave large gaps between the speaker and panel and door, which sort of defeats the purpose of getting improved sound. I'm looking for a good seal.)
Anyway, that's where I'm at. I'd love to do more, but well see how much money and time I have. Both are currently in short supply.
