Tundra 5100s with Tundra Eibach Coils (UPDATE with PICS)

Ok guys and gals, I tried searching but didn't find what I was looking for. My current setup is Tundra 5100s with Factory Tundra TRD coils. A lot of us are running with this setup. I am on the 3rd perch and with full armor, winch, and 861s in the rear. I need a little more lift up front without going to the 4th perch because the preload would be too much.

While doing a search, there are some people who are running the Tundra 5100s with Eibach coils but are running them with 4runner 3" Eibach coils. I was wondering if anyone is running the 5100s with the Tundra Eibach coils? I believe the part number is E30-82-066-04-20. If so how much lift are you getting? What perch are you on? What is the ride quality like? My theory is that with these tundra coils I should be able to set the perch on the very bottom and achieve the lift in need.

In the name of scientific research I ordered the Eibach Tundra coils. I will post an update with measurements and a review on how they ride. If all goes well, hopefully the mods can add this combo to the lift section. If all else fails, I will surely report back as well. Wish me luck.

***UPDATE with PICS***

Ok guys and gals, I just installed the Tundra Eibach coils (part # E30-82-066-04-20) with my Tundra Bilstein 5100s. Not to be confused with 4runner / Tacoma Eibach coils, which is the combo everyone seems to be using. I installed them on the second perch and the ride quality is amazing. Smooth and comfortable. Total lift from hub to limited fenders is 23.5”. This is after settling which was very slight btw. My previous setup was the Tundra TRD factory coils on the 3rd perch along with a ¼” top plate spacer. This gave me around the same amount of lift but the ride was extremely harsh.

Needless to say, I am very happy with this setup and my only regret is not doing it sooner. I spoke to Eibach and they said this coil is not progressive but linear and the coil is rated at 645 lbs. The angles all look good and the flutes on my cv boots don't touch, this is of course after doing the boot slide mod.

Keep in mind I have a front bumper with winch, rear bumper with tire carrier, skids, and sliders. If you are stock, these numbers would definitely change. You could probably get away with the same amount of lift on the first perch.

I hope this helps anyone that wants to go this route.

Just bought the Tundra TRD coils and Tundra 5100s with top spacer and 890s in the rear. Did you try running the first perch at all? Curious to know what the ARB bumper and winch on the front setup feels like and how tall the lift is on that setting.

That looks great! I gotta ask, what year are the shocks from,,,I found the tundra part number for Eibach struts E60-82-066-02-10-P on Eibach website for 230 a pair and 140 for the springs,,,are the Bilstein struts better??,,,found Bilstein part number 24-188265 for the strut 240 a pair,,,do I need the upper a arm or will stock work and the limit strap setup...do I need that...what bump stops are needed.//I would be embarrassed to admit what lift I have up front but I've ridden in duece n halfs that ride better.

I went straight to the 2nd perch thinking that if it was too high I could always change it to the 1st. I basically rolled the dice and it worked out in my favor.

Thanks, the struts were part of a complete lift kit from Sonoran Steel (Kit 1.2), the kit included factory TRD Tundra coils which on the 3rd perch was too much preload for my liking to obtain the height I wanted. With the Tundra Eibachs I was able to obtain the same amount of lift on the 2nd perch (less preload) which equates to a softer ride.

You can get away with not getting UCAs but if you do it helps correct the caster on your alignment. It also alleviates the extreme angle on your upper ball joint.

The limiting strap helps alleviate stress on the the strut at full droop and also prevents the cv joint from binding at full droop. I have it set right before full droop.

Perfect!!! Do my part numbers look ok for the struts...used 2005 tundra,,,seems used alot here...and do the stock runner upper mounts work on the coils?? I'm clicking to buy if that's a go...I really don't care about caster lol.

These are the newer version of what I have:

Bilstein 5100 Ride Height Adjustable Front Shock Set for 1999-2006 Tundra (24-261425 X2)

These are the Tundra Eibachs I just installed:

Pro-Lift Performance Front Coil Spring Set for 2000-2006 Tundra (E30-82-066-04-20)

Yes, you have to use the 4runner top hat mount because the Tundra tophat is not compatible with our rigs. You just have to buy the tundra rubber isolators that will fit under the 4runner tophat. You need to do this because the Tundra coils are slightly larger in diameter.

Rubber Front Coil Isolator Pair for 1999-2006 Tundra (907926)

Thanks man all good info. After reading this it will most likely be the way I go when I change out what I have. Currently 99 talls on the 3rd perch of Tundra 5100.
