New OME rear 3rd Gen spring design/ numbers?

Ive seen a lot of posts recently regarding 890s being a 2 Lift spring. I saw in Bilsteinlifts.com and Wheelers that the 2890 is a 2 Lift spring, and the 2891 is a 2.5-3 Lift spring. They list 890s as a stand alone 3 spring. I swear the 890s actual part number used to be 2890 and people always refer to them without the 2 in front. There was 2906 (2 heavy load), 2890 (3 medium load) & 2891 (3 heavy load), which were their selections for 3 lifts and under for years. I had a set of 890s and they were 3 unloaded.

The spring design is different on the stock photos too than what my 890s were. There was a dual rate coil at the bottom like the Toytec Superflex and like the 891s still show, and now the stock photos show no dual rate coil like they used to. They appear to have relabeled the 2890s as a 2 spring and still offer the 3 version as the 890. Its becoming very confusing to reference these at this point when discussion spring options. Anyone else notice this?

This link to Wheeler’s shows none of their rear springs have the dual rate coils on one end of the springs. The 2890, 2891 and 2906 are all there, and missing is the 890 that the Bilsteinlifts.com shows as a separate coil. Are they getting rid of the 890 offering?

I ordered Trail Gear ARB-2890: OME SPRINGS 4RUNNER REAR | JEGS
These back in August (because they had free shipping and like 15% off)
And They were the correct ones with the Dual rate springs at the top even though they look basically like a front coil spring without the stacked/rolled coils at the top. Is that what you're trying to figure out? I doubt their getting rid of the 890's Its just Probably different photos floating around between different distributors/sellers. Still a little strange though because I do remember wondering if I would get the correct springs based on the photo being different.

The coil design is part of it, but Im trying to figure out of the 2890 is in fact a 2 lift coil (new offering?) and the original 890 is still a 3 lift coil. Wheelers doesnt offer the 890 only the 2890, and Bilsteinlifts.com offers both. Pretty confusing.

I just checked the Bilsteinlifts.com website and I only see the 890 offered for 3 lift. Maybe I had it filtered too much. I did notice that they list the other sprintings with a 2 in front but list the 890 without it. Ive got the 2890 springs that I got about a year ago and theyre a 3 lift with the dual rate looking coils.

Wait, the plot thickens. When I searched 2890 on their site both springs come up but they list the 890 for the Prado and 2890 for the 4Runner. Pictures are different but maybe its the same spring which gives a different lift depending on the vehicle.

The official word from OME is that the 2890's are 50mm lift (2") with 250 kg (550 lb) constant load. All OME springs have 4 digit part numbers, most of the PNs for the the coil springs start with a 2, so it is often omitted.

They are listed as 190 lb/in spring rate, which means 550lb load between the two springs would be about 1.5" of 'sag'. It never quite works out that way (spring rates are never 100% constant) - so 3" no weight seems about right.
