I recently acquired this 3rd gen 96'. The truck had this ABR bumper already in installed. Great for me! That said, if one was to look up into the underside, below the front lip of the bumper, there is some serious open air space from the lower lip of the bumper, back to the nearest point of the engine bay.
Exposed, without much security on the passenger side is the wiper fluid reservoir, and the headlight wiring.
Has anyone ever seen any creative way to seal up that space for a 'cleaner' front end, and if for nothing else to keep mud, rain, snow, out?
The 5th gen ARB () has additional "covers" that protect these areas. I bet it would be easy to fab something up out of some sheet metal.
I've had my ARB for about 10 years and have never had an issue with these openings though.
Thank you Atomic. The ‘covers’ idea is exactly what’s been floating around my head. Being new to the ‘Runner world, I wanted to make sure I wasnt missing something easy.
