01 Sr5 Trans Shifting

Every time I drive my vehicle cold and it shifts into 2nd gear ( auto trans) it seems to not want to shift very smoothly. This only happens the 1st time I accelerate, and it only happens in the second gear. Any clues as to what might cause this....thanks in advance.

it is normal for the trans to delay shifting into 2nd when you first start it up.
