"Fixed" p1135 now getting p1130...2001 4Runner

After cruising the forums, I replaced the Air Fuel Ratio Sensor (234-9002 Upstream) just before the single cat and after a few minutes of running it kicked out a p1130 code Bank 1/Sensor 1.
I searched quite a bit trying to identify an answer before posting, but found a lot of cloudy information. Near as I can tell, I need to replace the o2 sensor in the exhaust manifold on the passenger side of the vehicle (part #234-4261)???

Is that correct? Just need some confirmation here before I end up in a cycle where I replace every damn sensor on the truck to no avail.

Thanks ahead of time!

Not sure if you are wrong or right but I'd pull out an ohmmeter/multimeter and spec it out according to the factory service manual. I'm unaware of an 02 sensor in the exhaust manifold (must be a 99+ thing if it exists).

What you could also do is pull the mass airflow sensor and throttle body and give them a good cleaning as well. It is possible that one of them is dirty causing the whole reading to be off.

The next things I would check would your MAF, and o2 sensor. The o2 sensor will be passenger side, and pre cat. I'll be your o2 sensor is causing the problem.

Thanks for the input!

Been a couple days driving with the CEL since I replaced the one before the cat. Started it this morning and there where no CEL lit at all. Weird. Started driving it and on acceleration it would pulse till you got on the highway. Made it all the way to work with no CEL...WTHeck!

The ONLY thing I've done is change the Air/Fuel sensor. Been too cold and wet to clean the MAF as suggested. Now I'm completely lost. Going to crawl under it this weekend and check my connections to make sure everything is tight and clean the MAF. We'll see. I hate tracking down these sensor issues.

Thanks again.
