well for a 5 year old thread I was hoping for a resolution. From what I read, brake booster works of vacuum lines so maybe replacing old leaky hoses is the first step if bleeding lines doesn't fix it. The noise is worrysome but when i stopped hard on the brake and got a firm pedal with no response until I pumped it then I was concerned. It brakes great normally, with noise sometimes under first brake application, but on second brake pump.. no noise ever.
1999 4runner bought 20 months ago.
Edit: I was replying to a thread a brake booster noise which I'm not experienced with. I clicked submit and it shows me a different previous thread. Still any advise is appreciated.
