Shocks blown

Rear shocks are leaking on my 99 limited. Rough Country lift and the ride is definitely rough, any suggestions on what shock to replace the bad ones with?

Need bit more information on your lift. Are you carrying any additional weight in the rear? Bumper, storage, full spare, and so on.

The guy I bought it off said it was a 4 inch lift. I have a full size spare. Sliders are going on soon and a rear bumper at tbe end of the year.

If you're going to add a rear bumper with swingout, and full size tire. I would personally recommend the OME 861's, and Tokico 80 Series black shocks. These are both meant for LC's, but work very well with our 4runner. The 861's are a dual rated spring, and will support the added weight a lot better.

"4 inch lift" is a red flag. I suggest you read up on the lift threads that are stickied here.

Go to this link. Do a cntrl-F in your browser and search for the word 'lift' then read those threads.

Any shock will be an improvement over the Rough Country ones, that I can guarentee. Also skeptical of a 4" lift, unless he meant 1" body lift plus 3" suspension.
