Do I need to upgrade suspension for off-road bumper?

I'll be replacing my front bumper something like this:
3rd Gen 4Runner Closed Top Front Bumper Kit | website

The bumper weighs 89lbs. I currently have stock suspension on my 99 SR5. Since this year had taller springs, will I still need to upgrade my front suspension to support the added weight from the front bumper?

If yes, do most folks upgrade the suspension first and then add the bumper?

The front bumper, at least on my 2000 Limited was 36 pounds. It's the weight delta... 50 or so more pounds, I'd say you'd be fine.

Should be fine with what you got IMO.. if you ever end up doing the rear bumper the one thing that is a good idea to get is the Sonoran steel body mounts to prevent your bumper from rubbing/hitting the body.

Would you recommend buying that Sonoran steel body mounts for ANY rear bumper? I'm getting the shrockworks one..

I don't do off roading really. I saw it on Tim's video

I figure it’s good insurance, never know when your going to hit a huge pot hole or a curb. If you get any body damage from your bumper it’s going to cost a lot more to fix than those body mounts cost. Fairly easy install too.
