Taco Spring Swap Qs

I've got a set of 2001 tacoma front springs.

Taco springs have 1.5 more coils, and 0.6mm narrower wire. Computes out to about 100 in-lbs softer. Should compress about 0.75" more than stock. I'm looking for a softer ride.

Like the stock springs, driver side is longer.

But...the Taco springs are 1.75" longer than the stock springs.. Is it OK to squeeze these into the stock length shocks?

I too have Taco Springs in the front.

Here is a post I made about the results. I am still running these. This may answer some of your questions or perhaps create new ones.

Looks like a softer spring with more preload. It should fit fine, but may not perform how you are expecting, depends on what exact Tacoma they came from (engine, prerunner vs 4WD , cab options, etc.). Give it a whirl!
