nissan extera parts ? :)

what this is a 4runner forum....duhhh
so I have been hunting for some parts....and the wrecking yards here in the valley have been pretty picked clean for what I was looking for in the past...no kidding...20 year old 4runner.... and when the come in...the vultures hit...me included but usually when I get there im picking bones. And it seems like 4 runner parts....our older 4runner parts can pull a premium..
today I went back to a yard to pick up some stuff I had seen recently and needed for a project and decided to take a walk through other stuff.. ( often do)..sometimes you can find good stuff that will fit our 4runners or usable in a way..or neat stuff
I was walking by the Nissans and the messed up extera's and then something caught my eye.. a few cars deep off the line. that roof lines not right.... wait either is that rear side window....that's not a Nissan...it was a rolled 4runner.. had the white plastic and danger hazemat blood junk label...but what what I needed was not interior .got the parts I had long been looking for....parts that normally would be a little high on price....pulled the parts and when I got to the front counter the guy asked what did they come off of......kind of fibbed....I said I got them out of the Nissan stuff.
paid cheap for stuff hard to find for 4runners and normally $$$$.
guess Nissan stuff is cheap

junkyards usually do not change different based on what vehicle it came off of. The yards around here charge a fixed price based on what part it is.. i.e. a starter is $30, Alternator is $40, etc.

yeah that^ at least that has been my experience with PNPs.
depending on the part there can be a big difference though. I got a full hitch with wiring and hardware for 13 bucks but paid 30 for an AC line because it had a valve on it.
