I found a 75k 2000 4runner with magnason supercharger installed for sale that was wrecked that I could buy just not sure how cheap I could get it for or how much that is worth and swap everything low mileage over with supercharger.

V8 swap mine with tundra/sequioa after mine blows up but then everything would be high mileage.
How wrecked is the 75k 2000 4runner? If you sell your current 4R and do the necessary repairs for the wrecked 4R, would you have enough $$$ to throw on a supercharger?

The wrecked one has a magnuson supercharger on it already! Appears to have been installed around 45k miles. I plan to look at it next Wednesday to see if it could be repaired. From the photos the left front core support is in probably 6” and the fender is mangled as well as headlight mount area right at that corner is totally gone... air bags did not deploy, wheel doesn’t look touched, it’s really hard to tell without in person analysis. It’s obvious you’d have to put a new front clip/core support on it. All that is factory spot welded on the 3rd gens correct? No bolt on options? I’ve never paid any attention since I haven’t done any body work on mine. It’d be cool to build that one since I want icon suspension and different wheels and tires anyways.

If the frame isn’t tweeked I could probably fix the wrecked one for 1500 with new hood, fender, lights, core support, inner apron, ac condenser etc. however.. if I have to pay 3000 for the wrecked car and out 1500 into it and it’s all stock I am not gonna have much left over to modify it considering I’d probably only get 8k for my clean one if I was lucky considering it has 255k on it. 3500 will buy a lift and wheels and tires...kind of a wash but I’d have a salvage title low mile supercharged runner.

Rebuild with Supercharger....that is what I am doing as well.

When you think about it, the cost to do any other engine swap doesn't make financial sense unless you have alot of time and alot of money.

5VZFE TRD Supercharger and don't look back...

I just did that exact same repair on mine. See link in sig. Pretty straightforward but a lot of work. My frame needed straightening. I took it on the highway the other day and it drives beautifully smooth and quiet.

Do you have photos of damage?

I don't think I have the time or energy to try and do the body work to repair the wrecked one, it would definitely need a new inner fender apron, front core support, fender, bumper, hood, lights, etc, plus probably whatever else is smashed on that side!

Would I be crazy to pay 5k for it being that I really only want the running gear and supercharged engine out of it when everything on mine runs perfectly fine? I'm really struggling with this one..I would basically just scrap the rest of it or try to part it out on CL or something as I have no need for any interior parts or body panels for mine cause mine is so freaking clean already!!!Keep in mind I cannot hear it run or test drive it before purchasing it as it's disabled...Just going off of overall surrounding condition and that it's advertised that it's able to start but I am unable to verify this.

I could sell my running gear but I doubt people are going to be interested in a 255k running gear. I do not think of the 5vzfe engine being in high demand unless they are super low miles since they run forever!

Smile

We went ahead and got the 2001 3rd gen running with its original (273,484 mile) engine. Had to replace the injectors and the head gasket (due to an unsecured battery).
