Where do you guys zip tie your front sway bar end links after you disconnect them?

I searched but really couldn't find an answer. I assume you guys unbolt them at the top where they attach to the sway bar, and then tie them to something on the lower control arm. But where? Anyone got any pics? Thanks!

I don't have a front sway bar, but wondering where you're going in a 2wd that you would need to disconnect the sway bar in the first place.

Also you only need to disconnect 1 side for the sway bar to stop working.

I'm going to be doing the Mojave Road here soon and want to test some of the claims made on this forum. See if I notice a difference with them connected vs disconnected.

If you are using stock links, just remove both ends and put them in the garage. You can hold the bar up out of the way using zip ties to the brake line bracket.

It is much more comfortable off road with the front disconnected.

Thanks Charlie! Will do, except I will bring them along so I can re-install them/one before hitting the highway.

I actually replaced them with new ones when I re-did my front suspension a few weeks ago (all stock), but was in a hurry so I didn't really pay much attention or test out clearances.

Like @turbo8 said, you only need to disconnect one side, and not both. The sway bar will move with the remaining connected link, and you won't need to worry about finding a place to secure it.

Any risk of interference during articulation, or is far enough inboard that there isn't enough travel for that?

That would simplify front disconnection, for sure...

The only thing it'll get close to is the outer tie rod. Even at full droop I don't think it'll make contact. Unlike the nearer Gen's where you'll contact the CV, and cause serious damage.

when I wheel I pull both end links off from the top nut (with bushings) and the bottom nut on both sides. I don't have any problems with the sway bar moving at all, the bushing are tight and hold it in place. I've not had any issues with contact and I've wheeled it pretty hard like this. I used to have aftermarket quick disconnects and this method is faster and easier to remove.
