driver seat problem

I have a 98 limited 4 runner and the drivers seat does not recline but all the other function works on the seat. Has anyone have a fix for this. Thanks

there could be multiple issues?

is there power going to the motor assy?
is the motor assy still working?
might be the switch?

I think this is the part for the drivers side motor.

8582032020 MOTOR ASSY, POWER SEAT (FOR FRONT RECLINING RH)

I would say if you can't see anything like cut wires, blown fuses a trip to the junk yard to grab the motor assy or even the entire drivers seat would be the cheapest route. a functional working drivers seat with bad rips in it around me will go for $40-$60 from salvage places. mint ones can be very expensive.

it's not hard to swap out cushions/covers but you do need some hog rings and hog ring pliers. not expensive at all maybe $30 for that stuff.

this is for my 2000 lim so you might want to run your VIN on this site and make sure about the part number.
