Stability system issue

Hi guys, I am new to the forum, so I hope I am posting in the right area! Anyways, ever since I put on my Sonoran Steel lift kit (3" front, 4" rear) my vehicle stability control has been going nuts! It used to be only on right hand turns. After researching, I found that there is a way to calibrate the VSC system and the yaw sensor by using a jumper on some pins in the diagnostic port. I followed the instructions, and I believe that the system must be calibrated now because not only does my sensor beep on right turns, but it now also beeps on left turns!

I am not driving crazy by any means. I drive windy mountain roads every day, and on turns where people are passing my at 50mph, my sensor is going off at 40mph (speed limit is 50). If I go a little too fast (very slow relative to everyone else) then the system will lock up my brakes, and it almost sent me careening into the wall barrier on highway 17. At times, I could not even pass a big semi truck because the vehicle would start going nuts.

Is there anything else I can do? Does anyone else have this problem?

I have tried it multiple different times (probably 7 tries) and it is doing the same thing. It acts as if it is "calibrated" because the sensor will go off on both left and right turns with about the same amount of force. Is there anything else I can try?

I'd sell it and buy a 96 to 2000 version personally.

Do the Andy MOD, and turn off your traction control. I would assume you're talking about the VSC light coming on, and traction control kicking in? If you can't get the zero point calibration to work I would do the Andy MOD.

Plus it's a good thing to have.

Mike

The Andy mod would be a quick fix as stated.

Seems as system is working though not correctly.
So I'll ask this: Are you performing calibration on a level surface ?
FSM says this is a priority to calibrate true stance of vehicle.

Yes I calibrated it in my garage. I even added small wooden blocks to get it perfectly level. I guess I will try the Andy mod when I get time!

I've had that feeling over last couple years, not because of problems I've had with my 01 just the new VSC Trac Sys unknown. The more familar I get with it I'll keep it, FSM is thorough with troubleshooting procedures. 96Red is simple as you can get.
