Siphoning gas out of tank

Is it possible or is there a baffle preventing this? I have 2 runners, both currently full of gas from recent border crossings to Washington state. I may go on a trip this weekend but don't want to pay local prices for the extra gas I'll want to bring in the red Jerry cans. So I thought I could fill the cans from the runner I'm not taking, then that runner will be empty for filling up the next time I cross the border.

This thread talks about using the fuel pump but seems a bit much just to save some money on buying it in Canada. Also about principle too, I refuse to pay more than I need. Haven't filled up in Canada for a long time, screw em, screw em all.

Yes you can siphon fuel from your tank. I helped do this on my friend's 99 last October in order to drop his fuel tank. We used a siphon from napa similar to the one I linked below. It was the first time I had siphoned fuel and was surprisingly quick & easy.
