Rear bumper build finally done!

Hey guys, I don't post here too often but I thought I would share my rear bumper that I just finished building. It took me around 2-3 months and a lot of that time was spent creating a 3D model of the bumper before I built the real deal. Unfortunately because some of my measurements of my 4runner were off a little bit, (hard to all the curves and odd measurements right) a good number of the modeled pieces weren't dimensionally correct and needed some correcting after I laser cut them. I built everything except for the tire swing hinge and the plate to attach my spare to and the whole thing is built around a class 3 hitch. (BTW, if you're considering getting the 4Xinnovations hinge for a build, I know it's not cheap but I would highly recommend it. Seems very well built). Now to see how well it holds up. Here's a few pics from along the way and a few of the finished product. Hope you all enjoy!

Thanks! It took quite a bit of work!. Yeah that's actually from a 2nd gen 4runner from the first 2 years when they had the rear tire carrier!

I bet that was a lot of work! Kudos to you. I see a lot of thought was put into it. I wish I had welding skills. Ideas galore, but no current ability to realize any yet... Enjoy!

Thanks, when designing the ladder I tried to follow the contour both from the rear and the side view. Glad you like it!
