Not enough information to help I would look at the repair history check the fluid conditions take them for a drive and be ready to make a deal if thats what you want. I don't know how the pricing is for your area to know if these will move fast or not. One thing to consider is that sometimes Limited have a easier life than say a SR5. Take a creaper and a flashlight with you. Check on the Net some one has a check list for buying a used cars it may help you from any real problems also ask to see the engine stone cold if you can some time there are things that show when cold or threw the warm up cycle.

Be nice to see interior pics from the sceond one. The first one's interior kinda looks a little beat up to me. The door handle has tape and so does the drivers seat.

The Limited got a lift. Be good to know what shocks and springs are on there and how long the lift has been on for.

Having owned somewhere around 20 cars in my lifetime, and doing repairs on every single one of them, I'd highly recommend not buying the one that got stolen and had two wrecks, even if the title is clean. Or knock it down in price by 30% due to the hidden damage you'd be bound to discover the first time you go in & replace something.

I like the way the 99 looks better. They’re essentially the same rig with same mileage etc. does the 98 have a RR diff locker?

I’ve got a firm rule to never buy a car that’s been in a wreck big enough to be reported...
with so many cars out there I don’t see a reason to settle.

99 has the upgraded interior stuff (rear head rest stows, bigger rear storage compartment, better cup holders, etc.) and still no electronic crap on the throttle.

If at all possible, if you have questions or doubts about either of them (or any car), take it to a good car technician that can do a full inspection: might cost you a little bit ($100-200), but you could dodge a bullet.

Check the frames for rust... Many folks don't think about it here in Reno but they salt the heck out of our roads in the winter. Also... Living so close to Tahoe and the Sierra, they salt the heck out of those roads too. It really surprised me when I moved here from Cali how trashed the frames on these 3rd gens can be.
