Price for this 1996 4Runner

Greetings,

In the market for a 4Runner; this is a third car/for my son. The vehicle in question has 85k (no really), all records, leather, premium sound, very good plus to not quite excellent interior, no rust... I can go on. Timing belt has been done as well. It drove great, red paint is in very good/very good plus condition. No mods but this SR5 seems to have most of not all of the Limited options. The list price was 10k to deter tire kickers; I was told 8.5k is the “least” they would take. I was thinking 8k.

I’m a long time Taco owner, this would be my first 4Runner and a keeper indefinitely. There are a lot on the market for 5k-6k that have 200k plus miles; I just don’t to overpay, ya know? Thoughts?

Price seems a bit higher than I would want to pay, but if it has the rear e-locker than I could see someone paying the 8.5k.

If it really has no rust, I'd say that's a great price for your area. Just make sure all the records and carfax checks out.

1996 Toyota 4 Runner - cars & trucks - by owner - vehicle automotive sale

It's certainly pretty. Red is a somewhat rare color.

If the seller felt like putting up with a slight bit more hassle, they'd probably get more than 10K for it on BaT. They seem to like unusually clean and low mile cars like this.

To a small extent, if it's going to be a daily driver or wheeled, it's not worth spending a LOT for a lower odometer reading, since they last so long anyhow.

Dang man that thing is in super nice shape. I will spend countless hours and more than a few dollars getting my 250k mile truck to look like that.

It's beautiful! If you can get that for $8000 do it. I'm not a dealer, but I buy a lot of runners and sell patched frame and solid frame ones with 100k-200k miles for $3-5K usually.

$8500 is a deal. If you’re not buying please let me know. I’m looking for a clean 4runner to build.
