Best springs for mild lift with aftermarket bumpers...
I've been searching around a bit but couldn't find solid info... I have the coastal offroad aluminum bumpers front and rear and I also want to do a winch up front (8k winch) along with maybe a constant 100lbs of stuff sitting in the rear.. I'd like to get a mild 1" lift in front, maybe 1.5-2" in rear and want to pair some springs with Bilstein 5100s. No clue what springs would work well so any advice is greatly appreciated. I'm stuck in the hospital due to blood clot and trying to search on my phone but it sucks!
Thanks in advance.

I take it you're thinking the 881s will go down a bit in the front due to the extra weight and the 906 in the rear should stay around the 2" lift mark? Are there any better spring options out there or is it basically just OME for our trucks?

There are many options beyond OME
What are your use intentions?

Yeah, the 881 rated 500lbs are fractionally taller then the (880 also 500lbs but for stock weight) will do better with the winch weight and the bumper even though aluminium bumpers are not heavy. 906 2 inch lift are a good pair for the Bil 5100. The rated for 200lbs so 100 constant weight pLus more for when you loadup.
There are a ton of options in the thread that posted but these are tried and true with 5100's.

Basically a capable camping rig with some offroad use. I went to Colorado a couple years ago and did all I wanted to do with stock suspension and 265/75-16 tires. Now I want to just do a slight lift, same size tires probably and bumpers/winch so it's a bit more capable. Hope that makes sense.

Yes, that makes sense. It sounds like 1 and 1/2 to 2 in would probably do the trick.
With the additional weight that you're planning and probably makes sense to consider upgrading your shocks, especially if winching with any regularity

What they said and good luck with the blood clot treatment!! Hang in there.
I have an OME 881/906 lift on 5100s w/265/75s - pretty much a common 'Intro to Off Road' lift that doesn't really need anything else to get you a lot of places. I do run MTs and 1.25" Spidertrax. Split both CV boots right away and did a diff drop I didn't need, so I've done most of the Noob stuff. Probably should have done a little more research and gone straight to a 3" lift but I was impatient. I'm waiting for a basic winch bumper to come in the mail as well.....the rig does not cease to amaze me with what it can do with this +/- 2" lift. That reminds me - I do run extended sway bar end links and better Durobump stops but probably not critical.
Edit - the above OME/5100 spring and shock combo is commonly available pre-assembled (front coilovers) so you can install them yourself much more safely (me) and easily. The springs are side-specific and labeled to compensate for the extra weight on driver side of the rig. The whole thing was in the low $700s shipped....with inflation/shortages ,YMMV. The newer Blisteins with remote resis look nice and beyond that there are a bunch of option$.

Depends on which 5100s you are referring to: 4runner or Tundra.
There are other shocks out there for our rigs besides Bilstein. You can buy full OME, Toytec, and more kits that will do exactly what you are looking to do.

For the rear there is dobinsons c59-137v that are about 2” if I believe correctly. A couple members have tried them out and I may try them next.

The rear 4Runner specific 5100's are actually designed for the OME 2906 springs. That'll be right at 2", even with a bit of weight in the rear.
For such a mild lift in the front I'd either stick with stock springs (due to aluminum bumper instead of steel) and lift 2 notches on the 5100's (again, make sure they are the 4Runner ones), or use OME 880's on the lowest perch.

I didn't research the Tundra 5100s... I assume they're beefier/better? As much as I want a capable camping rig, I will also be daily driving it a lot so looking for as much comfort as I can squeeze out of it. I already know any lift, accessories, etc will not be as comfy as stock suspension, but I've heard OME is pretty rough so looking for other options. Are eibach front coils softer than the OME 881s?

OME shocks are stiff/rough. Plenty of people use the springs with other shocks with no complaints.
The front Tundra 5100's are valved stiffer and have slightly different spring perch heights. The rear Tundra 5100's are long (require bump stop extensions) and valved too soft. Just stick with the 4Runner specific stuff for your basic suspension work.
