Original Headlights lamp gives less output?
I have 1999 SR5 T4R. I'm using the factory installed headlight assembly. I'm trying to get the most light output from them, for this reason I upgraded to PIAA White Star H4 bulbs, they give an excellent white beam output similar to H.I.D but I was told that since the headlights have almost 8 years of life, they tend to "diminish" light output because of age. I looked at them and yes they look with much more opacity than a brand new one. Tried installing Euro Aftermarket Headlights, but these ones gave a lot of problem fitting in and no to talk about light output (it was less) and beam aligment been to low and unable to "rise" it because according to the shop these aftermarket are very low in quality.
I was hoping that if anyone knows if replacing them with the geniune headlights, will give me a better light output, a noticible one or should I stay with the old ones? Will H.I.D be a cheaper solution? Anyone faced this issue?
Thanks,
JJ
