Nice rig! The supercharger makes a fantastic base to make it "road worthy" . I say ditch the overland stuff and make give those new Durangos a run for their money!

I have had a 2000 sr5 5 speed 4x4 4runner for about 4 years now. 250000 miles. Get this, neighbor gave it to me when her husband got sick. Had been sitting for 6 months with the sunroof missing. Took about 2 months of my spare time to out it in running condition. Love it, especially the 5 speed.

How many miles?

That’s a beautiful one. But it’ll take a lot of efforts to keep her clean.

First Mod

First mods. Small, but inexpensive and quick as that's all I have time for at the moment. Interior and license plate LED lighting. $13 off Amazon.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

(still need to get my CO plates)

This however is happening next week with new tires and a 3" suspension lift:

Some new goodies for the 4Runner! I went with a 3" Bilstein 6112 lift (5100's in the rear), SPC UCA's, and TRD OffRoad wheels with ProComp tires in 265/70/17R. Got rid of the running boards as well.

I also got some 01/02 tails and put LEDS in them. Later this week she's getting a well deserved paint correction to hopefully bring some life back to this 20 year old paint.

I used Rustoleum gunmetal. If I had to do it again, I'd go with Duplicolor.

I spent 9 hours doing a full paint correction and the results came out amazing. The paint was HORRID before, and now it looks so much better. Not perfect, but it was a great learning experience for me using a dual action polisher.

I had similar results even with my lighter desert dune color. Did you use a rubbing compound or just polish & wax?

I used Meguiars 105 for my cutting compound with a medium-heavy pad, Meguiars Ultimate Polish with a medium-light pad, and followed with Ultimate paste wax with a light pad. If I had to do it again, I would up the pads on each step.

This is an absolute beauty my man. I have a 98' SR5 5 speed myself and I'm loving the look of this. Looking forward to the progress!
