Please HELP -- SWAP

I have a 3 Door 1990 Prado ( Diesel Turbo) the engine got bitten by the "2LTE Head Bug" and it is over heating like crazy....

A lot of people suggested that I swap in a 5VZFE of a 2002 4 Runner

This is how is looks like (not the actual pic)

Questions

1. How do I mate the Gearbox (Tranny) to the engine

2. Wiring - What do I need to know

Thx

1. What transmission do you have? If you have the R150F / R151F, it will work but there are two things you need to look at, bell housing and input shaft length. If the bell housing doesn't match, I believe you can swap the transmission bell housing from a 5VZ and be able to bolt right onto your R150F. Check the input shaft size also, it may need to be modified. I believe the A/T for the Prado's are the A343F, if you have that check to see if the bell housing from the A340F is swapable as you will need that A340F bell housing to work.

If you find out you cannot get your transmission to work but you really want the 5VZ, then you'll have to swap both the engine and transmission.

2. I suggest you get the wiring harness and ECU from the 5VZ 4Runner you picked, and re-wire the everything else (interior, dash, etc.). It's an intensive project, but people have done it so it is possible.

I suggest you go to the forum on Marlin Crawler, you can get more info about that kind of stuff than you could here.
