Where or if, to grease slotted caliper shims?

I have Tundra slotted shim kit for a Gen 3 bake upgrade but I am guessing all Toyota slotted style caliper shims instal in a similar fashion (could well be wrong).

If it matters these are 04945-0C030 for 2005 V8 Tundra calipers/pads.

Does one grease both sides a dollop, pad side only, no grease? I cannot find anything on the 'net except a video where the guy applies to the outside of the slotted shim so it will stick to the outermost thin metal shim.

One side is cross-hatched black finish the other side bare metal, I think the installation will become apparent when I get there because of the bent over tabs/ears...

OK I was able to finally find some information, a little grease on both sides of the slotted inner shim, hope this helps someone else:

NOTE When replacing worn pads the antisqueal shims must be replaced together with the pads - Toyota Sequoia 2004 Repair
