2000 T4R LTD Leather Donor Seats Found: Planning to reupholster

I pulled two electric seats from a 2000 T4R limited today. I am going to gradually replace the foam and leather. (Has anyone done this?) Also planning on adding seat heaters.

I have heard that zip ties work better than hog rings for attaching the steel rods to the seat frame. I think I am going to try this route. Somewhat worried they may wear through but then again, zip ties are pretty tough.

Any thoughts/suggestions/recommendations are welcome. Planning on buying the new leather upholstery off of Ebay.

Hog rings are better than zip ties. Zip ties are a cheap fix and will eventually break over time. you can get a very cheap hog ring set for about $10 (you arent going to use it very often so you dont need a $30 one)
seats are actually very easy to do . watch how you remove the old one. Install the new one. its almost that simple. take you time.
