FN Wheels are BACK!!!!!!

Today as a last ditch effort I decided that call them one more time. I had given up all hope and was prepared to but another set of rims. I, along with my daughter, were fully happy with the other brand but our hearts were set on a set of FN FX TRD PRO wheels, 17" in matte black which was her first choice for her first vehicle. As I was getting ready to leave to buy them, like I said, I made that last call. Dustin answered and remembered me from mod April when I spoke to him first and last...lol So he's got these rims IN STOCK and shipping NOW or in the next day or so and I should have them by the end of next week. He has gone through some personal hard times which has caused him severe difficulty being able to run his business, that's why he hasn't been out of touch. He knows he.lost sales and trust of many as he out it but he said he's going to work diligently to repair and regain that in the off-road community. I won't give details, but he was generous to me as I just purchased these wheels this afternoon. Of course they are limited, and I know for a fact there is a dealer in Canada who has forty on order and told me they would have them in two weeks there, so if you're looking for these get them now is all I can say. My daughter will be the ONLY truck in the area with these. We are both excited as you can tell, as this is the first piece of the build coming in, the lift kit will be here in a two weeks, the tires I can get local. I'll try and get pics up when it gets done with this phase. Anybody know of some good rock sliders for about $250 or so. If I could build them I would, o was thinking of using exhaust tubing so I could take it to a shop and have it bent for me. Just a thought because I want to remove the running boards and want something cool to compliment it if I can.

Please don't use thin exhaust tubing for something that needs to support weight to function as a step and needs to absorb impacts to function as a rock slider. Check these out instead: 1990 - 2013 Toyota 4Runner Off Road Rock Slider

This. I like my 4xI sliders. Pay someone to install them for you, worth the money.

Thank you for putting that up there, that's what I was looking for, but couldn't find one like this that was affordable.

Are there any good bolt on ones for about $250? It's more for looks really. Or any good nerf bars?

FN Wheels – FN Wheels Update – July 10, 2019

At least Dustin and crew didn't take $ for orders and not deliver the goods, more than I can say for some companies that continued robbing people of their money for bumpers etc then file for bankruptcy or some damn LED bumper inserts that people are waiting like a year for

The 4XI sliders are good, there is a company selling DIY weld together kits for less or near your price.
1 1/2" rigid EMT at lowes home depot is a route to go if making your own since more for looks than function,
muffler shop or electrical shop benders will work to shape it. Cost v time you break even.
Weld on can be made to bolt on if you get creative.

Technically speaking they weren't robbed if they gave the money to said vendor. That's actually called a payment.

Then said company goes out of business, and files for bankruptcy. Now, people that paid for product they didn't receive do have options, and people with common sense hopefully know this. You can contact your bank, credit card company, and/or Paypal to file a claim. The best part, you can get your money back!

Haha, if you're going to pick nits. I'm going to pick back at you. Normally a company that is getting pretty close to bankruptcy or other issues knows it's coming, and if they're still taking orders, it's because they want to hang on to some cash. It's not robbery - but it ain't ethical either.

The timelines and the type of business matter - but I'd say if FN wheels paused accepting payment knowing they may not be able to deliver, then it deserves to be called out as ethical.

The semantics, in this case, aren't really as important as the overall message.

I completely agree that it's 100% unethical to take a payment knowing you won't be able to supply a product. The sad thing, it happens everyday, and people lose a lot of money because of it. Those are the same people that complain about losing thousands, and have nothing to show for it. Shockingly, they also have no clue about filing claims to get your money back.

I'm sure filing bankruptcy is nothing any company wants to do. A lot of times these places will have a large sale to raise capital in hopes they can continue to operate. In most situations it's too late at that point.

But, according to our president, filing for bankruptcy is considered "good business".

The problem with semi-custom parts are that the lead times are so big that you may lose any chance of recovering your money by the time you find out the company is done. Additionally, some of the people in the recent fiascos paid cash deposits just weeks before the announcement.

Far as FN goes....seems he stopped taking orders that he couldnt fill. I dont see any issue with that. We all have rough patches and props for him not exploiting customers.
