Nice, I really like the look of the 4Runner with those tires. Do you have any rubbing with them?

@Fishwerks - The tires are 65/75/R16 KO2s, haven't had the opportunity to test at full flex since the lift went in but I haven't encountered any rubbing. They're not really that much bigger than stock, the tread pattern is just kinda chunky; they look more aggressive than the diameter would suggest!

Back in Colorado for a quick pit stop. Ditched the RTT in favor of a more USA-friendly setup: sleeping platform inside and a big cargo box up top for all the mountaineering gear I'll need to haul for spring adventures. Getting the timing belt replaced this week, then it'll be off to Indian Creek for some desert climbing.

Been seeing a P0420 code on and off so I replaced the rear O2 sensor.

Spent the better part of 2 hours trying to get the previous (original) sensor off, then gave up and the local shop guys took care of it in 15 minutes for 30 bucks. Lesson learned.

Front sensor appears to have been replaced at least once, so we'll see if just doing the rear solves the issue. I am curious to see if replacing the front would improve my MPG, though - I have no idea how old it currently is.

Well, it's been a few years. Platform has been doing great, only issue so far was that the (non-load-bearing) back walls of the drawers blew out after a couple years because I thought I could get away with just glue for the joints but forgot that whenever I brake, whatever in the drawer was going to slide and bang into the back. Was pretty easy to fix, just had to pull the kitchen module, sand off the old wood glue, screw&glue the drawer backs with stainless deck screws, and reinstall.

Currently in the thick of a new project to upgrade from a cooler that was perpetually full of melting ice to a solar panel + battery bank + powered cooler setup. Will probably do a separate write-up at some point but for now here's a preview:

Did a tire rotation last week and started getting some really bad steering wheel vibrations (at speeds as low as 25-35mph). Turned out my (25 year old, original) rims were super bent and the tire rotation had coincidentally put the two worst offenders on the front.

Big fan of "don't change a good thing" so picked up a set of remanufactured 16" OEM tri-spokes from wheelsamerica.com (would recommend, fast shipping, reasonable price) and swapped out the old rims. Truck rides great again. Only annoyance is that now I need to repaint my hubcaps since they stick out like a sore thumb next to the shiny new rims.
