Oil light is on but it has oil, also 30a fuse is blown

I have a 3rz 4runner and while i was driving, it died. The lights and everything work but the engine wont crank. Also the oil light is on but the engine has oil and the 30a fuse it blown. I put in a new fuse but it blew right away. What could be going on?

I can jump in about the fuse. the 30 AMP fuse under the dash controls windows, gearshift, sunroof, etc. There is a SHORT somewhere near the junction box. Do you have a leak from your sunroof or water somewhere? Do you have power seats? If you do have powerseats, disconnect the seat power for a moment and then replace the fuse and see if that helps.

There is another huge fuse under the hood that used to pop on me too. Again that was due to a short behind the dash (see my build as I had to replace the ENTIRE wire harness to get the truck going).

I hope this helps

oil light can mean oil pressure? you can have a full oil pan but if you are losing oil pressure it will indicate it via the oil pressure switch.

is it always on or at certain RPM? just at idle?

can you turn the engine over via the starter using a remote starter button or by putting a socket on the crank shaft nut. If the engine does not turn it maybe frozen.

All engines will have their oil light turn on as the engine dies with ignition switch still in On position, that doesn't mean anything by itself.

If not turning over, are there any 'clicking' noises as you turn key to Start position? Has battery and its connections been checked?

Luck.
