OEM fender flare "finisher caps"?
Hey all, I've got a white '96 SR5, with the stock running boards, so it has the plastic fender flares in matte black.
Got a wild hair to remove them, so I did.
Rear flares look great, no issues. The fronts though, now terminate several inches above the bottom edge, so it looks slightly odd.
Was there a finishing cap or something that Toyota had for ones without the running boards, or did only running board vehicles come with the fender flares?
I can live with it, it's tidy, but it doesn't look "right".
Thanks!

Yes, there are two versions of "finishing caps". One for the base model with the thin chrome strips, and one for the SR5 flares.
The last time I checked, you could still get the base model caps; however, the SR5 drivers side is no longer in production, and not available anywhere.
They come up for sale from time-to-time, but you have jump on them before someone else does...

Thanks for that!
Do they have an official "name"?
I fumbled around a bit on google, turned up mass quantities of fender flares, but no specific caps. So I'm assuming it's a case of garbage in, garbage out, search word wise.

Oh, and I don't have a 3D printer, or even know anyone with one, but that's pretty cool all the same!

They only ever had full size mud flaps (there is no small OEM cap). It was rare though, since most 4Runners optioned with the flares were also optioned with running boards.
You can 3d print one using the information already linked, or cut up your running board transition piece and use that also, though it doesn't look as nice.
