Cooper Discoverer A/T3 Equivalent

It looks like they've stopped making the A/T3. Anyone know what's the next best thing?

I'm supposed to drive up to NJ tonight, then Maine tomorrow and I just noticed a series of gashes on one of my front tires. Hoping to get this taken care of today.

I think I got it last night pulling into the super narrow spot behind my house. In any case, I figure I need to replace at least the front two right now, then the rear two when I get back. Current the tires have 7/32", they're at about 50%. I've been quite happy with the A/T3s so far and was hoping for something similar. They're 265/75R16, load range B, FWIW.

They are making the AT3-4S, LT, XLT as gen replacements, you at 7/32's tread depth time for a set don't ya think. Guess you could go buy a used tire of any brand as long as it same worn diameter as your running, lol.

Mastercraft Courser AT sold at Walmart and Campbell Supply (if you have one) are a Cooper equivalent (made by Cooper)

Thanks - looks like the 4S is a pretty close match.

Yeah, that's the dilemma. I'd bite the bullet on a new set but I'm having trouble finding anyone around here keeps Coopers in stock. No luck with Walmart or Costco, so now I'm calling up independent shops one by one.

But I could also just get a used one that matches and drive carefully. The spare I have isn't the same size, unfortunately.

I just sold of a full set of wheels with perfectly good tires on them too...

Ha, don't ya hate when that happens, been there myself on other things. Only reason I mentioned a used one is the Trac/stability nanny junk on 01-02's might cause a issue.

Looks like the Adventurer A/T is pretty close too, the main difference is they've got 1/32" less tread and aren't rated for as many miles. Cooper claims the AT3 has better dry and wet performance, for whatever that's worth. Plus, they're currently available at Pepboys.
