Awesome man! Just to reiterate on this thread, the tool I have is offered permanently to the forum. I basically have 3, though one is bent up so bad it is basically useless, so the extra one is offered up to the forum gods!

Angry bearing noise after replacement ???

I just spent over $700 having my rear bearings replaced-same noise as before. Shop said they broke the tool removing/replacing bearings. Can they ruin new bearings ? 213K miles ,2nd replacement...happened after tire replacement {michelen 265/16 ltx]

Got the dreaded dif oil leak out of the rear brake....I'd like to replace the wheel bearings while I am in there replacing the seal.

What does the wait list look like for the loaner tool?

Can I please put my name in for next in line.

Cheers!

If they don’t press the bearings on correctly IMO....

The PM's here are junk. By default you don't save copies of messages. You need to click on the "Go Advanced" button. Then a section of additional options will appear and you need to check the "Save a copy of this message in your Sent Items folder." box in order to save a copy. You need to do that every time you send a message because there isn't a way to make that the default behavior.

Hell yeah man!! Thanks for keeping this alive. Just to be clear, I still have a tool that I'll loan out in perpetuity.

Well not sure if PMs are getting through. Sent him my email and phone and have not heard back. Would love to get in touch. Can either of you PM me with your contact details and I'll get in touch directly.

New member here, I must say it’s refreshing to see good folks still around and willing to pay it forward helping others out. @weekendclimber , salute to you sir. Glad to see that it’s been moving along smoothly although I haven’t been able to read through all 7 pages. With me being a new member, not sure if I’d be allowed to join in on the rotation, but I’d be more than appreciative if so. Working on clearing up a few issues on my 07 Tacoma before I let my daughter have it for her first vehicle. I cant stomach letting a shop take me for that much to change out something I can do. Please let me know if you’d entertain letting me borrow. And if so, do you know if it’s compatible with the Tacoma. Everything I’ve found, it seems like it will work. Thanks for your time!

Thank you for the kind words.

I believe it is @ptsailing that currently has the loaner tool. That's the one that I've leant out to the universe since I've got a second for myself (which I hope I don't have to use again for a long time). I know there was one other gent that had offered his as well.

I second that emotion....it's very refreshing to see that people are basically good and honest and want to help others. This board is full of members like @weekendclimber who put the time and some skin in the game to make this community what it is!

I do have the tool....it makes this job very easy. I got one side done last week before I had to leave for a week long work trip. I'll be back next Tuesday (6/8) and should be able to have it in the mail by the end of the week.
