Hey All!
Just got a chance to apply Fluid Film to the inside of my 4Runners
frame. She is a 2002 and felt it was cheep insurance as I am in the
rust belt of Upstate, NY............
I wanted to give you folks an overview of an applicator I purchased on
Ebay to do this:
1 ~ Fluid Film 360* Spray Extension Wand For Aerosol Can Free Applicator Brush | eBay
This spray nozzle worked like a charm! I was skeptical of spending the money
but tested it and was amazed at how well it works. I used just about 4 spray
cans of Fluid Film to coat the inside of my frame which at $10+ @ can it isn't
cheep but good insurance for around these parts. The cap of the applicator
does not attach permanently to the nozzle but you put the wand ( 24" ) on
and off quite often as you need to fish it in many points of the frame so not
a problem IMO. I drew the flexible plastic extension when applying the film
as drawing it has more control and I wanted to go slow to insure the best
possible coat of this rust inhibitor as you cannot see inside the frame. FYI
The test I spoke of showed that the 360 degree applicator has about 12" of
possible spray distance and inside the frame I expect each point ( 5 )spraying
has a spread of film 3" - 6" wide.
