Help finding OEM u joints

3RZ 4WD 1999 4Runner. I’m trying to locate the correct part number for the u joint at the rear diff. Seems to be about three different part numbers floating around in the parts lookup sites and the related threads. Can anyone steer me straight?

Are all 3rd gen rear u joints the same? If not what makes them different?

Thanks

Looks like 04371-60070 is the one. That's what I'll order.

That's the one I had put in about 2 months ago. Same truck as yours but I have a 98 or 99 driveshaft in.

Greasable or Non-Greasable?

At the expense of crawling under the truck (it's raining here today)...are stock u-joints greasable or non-greasable?

Stock u-joints are greasable. I do them every other oil change.

I do not grease the slip yoke though as the zerk fitting doesn't do squat to actually lube the splines. Best bet is to take it off, clean it out, and manually brush on the grease. I only do that once a year and it seems to be fine.

2WD (stock) u-joints are sealed. 4WD u-joints are greasable.

Just realized I never followed up on this. The 04371-60070 part number was indeed correct for my application (4WD 3RZ rear u-joint closest to diff).
