2002 4Runner Check Engine Light Code P1135

The check engine light came on for the first time since I purchased my truck. The code is P1135...The Bank 1 Sensor 2 air/fuel sensor heater is not functioning properly. Can anyone help me in locate the part as well as replacing it? I would greatly appreciate it.

Same problem on mine, like Durk says, front air/fuel sensor fixed it. Replace
only with original Denso part. Make sure there aren't any vacuum leaks first.

Yes'm, it was the Bank 1 Sensor 2. I did replace it. However, it is now doing the herky-jerky every time I step on the gas after being at a dead stop. Is this normal?

I suspect you got a P1136. Confirm?
I also just got a P1135 code on my 2002 4Runner and the computer said "Air filter sensor heat circuit malfunction (bank 1 sensor 1) along with a P0300 (random misfire).

Is this the correct part that I should purchase?

Well that is the correct A/F sensor.

But I don't know that it will solve the 0300. That could be plugs, wires, coil or other.

Luck and enjoy the Runner.

I'm sorry, my earlier post was incorrect. (I deleted it). P1135 does apply to the front sensor on a 2002. (Bank 1 Sensor 1) I.m not sure where I was checking when I wrote that but I definitely got it wrong.

From the 2002 FSM:

http://www.teamtoyota4x4.org/archivi...fe/cip1135.pdf

According to Denso, that is the correct p/n for that sensor on all 2002 4Runners. It is an A/F sensor, not an O2.

Find My Part

As to the P0300, those can be a pain. Here is the 2002 FSM diagnostic procedure:
