The prices of the hoses are stacking up lol

I went with energy bushings for the body mounts. If I recall correctly all the OEM bushings were somewhere around 700 bucks lol

That's some expensive contraceptive lol

All jokes aside, I think that is where I draw my proverbial line in the Sand.

Will be replacing as many hoses as I seem fit in the engine bay. I've detailed cars for about 8 years now and I'm itching to clean the engine bay.

There is a leak somewhere. Maybe. I never see any oil drip for the last month but something up there has caked the top portion of the bell housing and it's a drip on the oil cooler you can see it in my restore thread I have.

I've found out that with all the bad hoses I got on it, most of them are missing those wonderful hose clamps.

Im starting with the hoses around the oil cooler, and orings. There are no hose clamps on those coolant lines.

Funny that you mention the tension clamps. I'm in the middle of a T-belt job. When I tried to release the tension clamp on the hose that's on the water pump nipple, it literally crumbled into orange dust!

I ordered both rad hose and both oil cooler hoses. They were around $80 for 4 hoses. No aftermarket options for the cooler hoses and after seeing the aftermarket wanting me to use an upper hose on the bottom location with instructions to "cut to fit" I just winched in pain and told the parts guy to get me the hoses. The silly tension clamps were 5 days away so I'll just use regular hose clamps.

I didn't like this either but after I took the OE's one off and held them side-by-side I realized they are the same hose, Toyota just cut's an inch off one at the factory.

Been on the hunt for a couple interior parts for my 02 SR5 Sport that apparently are no longer available in US.
Called all the usual sources (Camelback, Conicelli, McGeorge, etc) and was told discontinued and no stock in US.
Checked local yards but none had what I needed in good clean undamaged condition.
Ordered up this morning on Amayama. With shipping included it is costing me 20% less then the US dealer price just for the parts.
Not sure how that can be but it is.
I’m heading to Japan in April and figured I would visit Toyota Dealer upon my arrival but no need now.
