there is going to be differences for sure, the FSM I have is for 1996-2002 and it has lacks descriptions of all kinds of differences that the early trucks had, different driveshaft lengths between limited and SR5/base, different trans pans between emissions types, different body mounts, different power steering pumps and lines between older trucks and newer... totally different braking systems between older and newer.

in general I think it seems pretty accurate. not sure your going to find a free pdf FSM for exactly the trans your working with?

The differences in this trans were when they were mated with v8 engines which tore them up pretty bad and Toyota went to a different trans for the 8 cylinder engines equipped on Lexus and Toyota trucks / cars.
